Read below for Tips and TRICKS for hearing aids. We’d also like to give thanks to our wonderful patients in the transition of ownership this summer. I am so thankful for the opportunity to serve you in Plymouth.
BATTERY TRICK
Typically hearing aid batteries last between 2-7 days depending on a few things, like model and usage. Did you know that when replacing a battery you should place it sticker side up, remove the sticker, and let the battery sit so that oxygen can activate the zinc-oxide inside? It's true!
But now an 8th grader from Rochester, MN, Ethan Manuell, has tested wait times to discover that waiting 5 minutes is optimal. This has shown to improve battery life by 85%, and may offer an additional 2-3 days of use per battery.
Try this "five-minute trick", to get the most out of your battery life this holiday season.
